Ambassador Zhou Jian Meets with Fiji’s Roving Ambassador to PICs and Special Envoy to CROP William Toganivalu

Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian met with Fiji’s Roving Ambassador to the Pacific Island Countries (PICs) and Territories and Special Envoy to the Council of Regional Organizations (CROP) in the Pacific William Toganivalu on August 5th.

Amb. Zhou elaborated on the outcomes of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China’s policy towards PICs, and cooperation between the two sides. He stressed that China’s new round of reform aimed at advancing Chinese modernization will bring immense opportunities to Fiji and other PICs. He expressed the willingness of China to deepen friendly cooperation with PICs in pursuit of common development. .

William Toganivalu extended congratulations on the success of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC. He expressed a desire to deepen pragmatic cooperation between PICs and China so as to achieve sustainable development in the Pacific Island region to the benefit of local people.
