On September 17, Ambassador Zhou Jian attended the Mid-Autumn Festival Performance themed “A Melodious Bridge of Friendship”, with First Lady of Fiji, cabinet ministers, members of Parliament, Chinese community and enterprises personnel, as well as media and scholars. More than 500 guests participated in the gala.

Ambassador Zhou Jian said, tonight is a night of unity, a night of arts, a night of dream. Artists from Hubei Province of China will bring happiness of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the warmest wishes of the Chinese people to Fijian friends. Hope China and Fiji can work together to turn the important consensus reached by both leaders into fruitful results, injecting strong momentum into jointly building a China-Fiji community with a shared future.

Artists from Hubei Province performed songs, dances, magic show, instrumental ensemble and acrobatics, which amazed the audience. Fijian singers also brought beautiful songs to the guests. A screen for live streaming was set up outside the venue, attracting Suva citizens to watch. FBC and Fiji TV broadcast the event live, which stirred up a craze for Chinese culture in Fiji.
