At the request of the Ministry of Local Government of Fiji, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji donated 34,000 Fijian dollars to Wainilotulevu Village in Namosi Province, Fiji to reconstruct its community hall. On November 27, Ambassador Zhou Jian went to the village to attend the funding handover ceremony, which was also attended by Minister of Local Government of Fiji Hon. Maciu Nalumisa.

Ambassador Zhou Jian said that he was very happy to contribute to the development of Fiji's rural areas. Prime Minister Rabuka witnessed China's extraordinary achievements in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization during his visit to China in August this year.
