On December 4th, 2024, Ambassador Zhou Jian attended the award ceremony of “ Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” at Yat Sen Secondary school in Fiji. More than 300 guests attended the ceremony including teachers and students of Yat Sen Secondary school, representatives from Chinese Education Society of Fiji, China Cultural Center in Fiji, and University of the South Pacific. 

In his speech, Ambassador Zhou Jian expressed great congratulations to the winners of the Chinese Ambassador scholarship. He said, the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship is an encouragement for everyone to study hard, the expectation for everyone to know China, and adhere friendship. In addition, he encouraged all students to learn Chinese better, make a commitment to be the beneficiary, inheritor and contributor of China-Fiji friendship, and continue to write new chapters of China-Fiji friendship.

The award-winning students expressed their willingness to keep up the good work in study aiming to make contributions to the development of Fiji and promote the friendship between China and Fiji. At the scene, the atmosphere was warm. Students with families and friends took a lot of photos to record their memorable moments.
