Mr. WU Zhiming, Chairman of China People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Shanghai Committee, visited Fiji from April 19th to 21st. Mr. WU paid courtesy calls on Hon. Jiko Luveni, Speaker of the Parliament of Fiji, Hon. Fayaz Koya, Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism and Ms. Andi Fong Toy, Deputy Secretary General of Pacific Island Forum (PIF). Both sides exchanged the views on how to promote further cooperation between Shanghai and Fiji as well as the whole South Pacific region at large. The delegation also donated 100 sets of blood glucometers to the Fijian Parliament to promote awareness of the Fijian people for better prevention and treatment of diabetes.
