Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian met with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Director for the Pacific and Representative in Fiji Bidisha Pillai on April 22. The two sides exchanged views on population development and sexual and reproductive health in Pacific Island Countries. They agreed on strengthening cooperation to extend more help to Pacific Island Countries to address the challenges in these areas. Both sides emphasized that under the current international situation it is important to uphold true multilateralism, reject unilateralism and protectionism in all forms, and defend the U.N.-centered international system.
