On May 15th, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian paid a courtesy call on Minister for Immigration Viliame Naupoto. Both sides spoke highly of the significant achievements in migration management between the two countries. They agreed to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation in the fields of combating illegal immigration and immigration capacity building, strengthen personnel exchanges at all levels, and bring more benefits to the two countries and their peoples. The Fijian side reaffirmed its firm commitment to the one-China principle, and Ambassador Zhou Jian expressed his appreciation for this.
