On May 15, Ambassador Zhou Jian attended the Donation Handover Ceremony of Fiji National University Foundation and donated 10,000 FJD to the establishment of the Foundation. More than 40 guests participated in the event, including FNU Chancellor Mr. Semesa Karavaki, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nabobo-Baba, Executive Director of the Foundation Ms. Lobendahn.

Ambassador Zhou warmly congratulated the Foundation on its establishment, emphasizing that as the newest achievement of educational cooperation between China and Fiji, this donation will help Fijian students pursue their dreams, and pass on the torch of China-Fiji friendship through generations. Wish the Foundation could spread love, light up hope, and contribute to the education cause of Fiji as well as China-Fiji cooperation.

VC Professor Nabobo-Baba thanked the Embassy for its generous contribution, noting that this good deed reflects China’s valuable support for the education cause in Fiji, the two sides are expected to further strengthen cooperation and jointly contribute to the well-being of Fijian people.
