On the afternoon of February 22, Charge d' Affaires ad Interim Gu Yu handed over 100,000 USD of emergency humanitarian aid to Cathy Wong, President of Fiji Red Cross Society. Wong expressed heartfelt thanks for the aid, appreciating it as the first donation that Fiji Red Cross Society has received from a foreign government since the strike of "Winston". Wong said, "Winston" caused huge damages and losses to Fiji and China's aid has been prompt and timely. Fiji Red Cross Society will allocate the aid to the people in need as soon as possible.
