On February 23rd, Mr. Gu Yu, Charge d’ Affaires ad Interim of Chinese Embassy attended the disaster briefing meeting held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Fiji . Heads of Mission or reprsentatives from diplomatic corps of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Janpan, France, EU, Korea, India etc., international organizations and NGOs in Fiji were also present at the meeting. Mr. Gu introduced the humanitarian aids provided by Chinese Government. He also expressed that China is willing to provide further assistance within its capabilty based on the needs of Fijian side and to actively participate in post-cyclone reconstruction.
