Ahead of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse in 2026, Mr. Wang Yuan, Chargé d’Affaires a.i.of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, visited Fijian Chinese communities in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, and Suva. He went into shops, markets and community groups, extending festive greetings and presenting "warmth packages."

Wang Yuan listened carefully to the work and life experiences of the overseas Chinese and conveyed the deep concern of the Party and the country for their compatriots abroad. He noted that the "warmth packages" carry the care and best wishes of the motherland and its people, and encouraged everyone to carry forward the spirit of hard work and unity of the Chinese in Fiji, operate in compliance with local laws, and contribute to China-Fiji friendship. The Embassy will continue to put the principle of "diplomacy for the people" into practice and serve the Chinese community with dedication, fully protecting the safety and lawful rights of Chinese citizens in Fiji.

The overseas Chinese expressed gratitude for the care from the motherland and the Embassy, and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to the China-Fiji friendship.
