From April 11 to 12, Mr.Wang Yuan, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, led a working group to the Vanua Levu of Fiji to carry out the “Consular Services in the Community” event. The team provided services such as document processing and policy consultation for Chinese nationals residing in the Vanua Levu of Fiji, with dozens of members of Chinese community from Labasa and Savusavu participating.

Mr. Wang Yuan extended condolences to those affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone recently and engaged in in-depth discussions with the overseas Chinese community. He reaffirmed that the Embassy will continue to uphold the principle of “diplomacy for the people,” ensuring that services are more accessible, consular protection is more timely, and communication is smoother.
The Vanua Levu is Fiji’s second-largest island, but is relatively distant from the Viti Levu where the Embassy is located, with less convenient transportation. Members of the Chinese community on-site expressed their deep appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts to bring services directly to them. They pledged to continue working together with dedication to further enhance China-Fiji friendly cooperation.
