On August 22, diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, led by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Wang Yuan, visited the training site of the Handball Fiji Team to hold a networking event with the team. More than 30 people, including President of the Handball Fiji Federation, and coaches and athletes of the team, attended the event. Young diplomats joined the team in a training.

Wang Yuan said that the Handball Fiji Team recently represented Oceania at the World Championship in Romania for the first time, broadening horizons and gaining valuable experience. He expressed the hope that the team would improve competitiveness through more training and strive for greater achievements, with a view to contributing to China-Fiji sports exchanges.

President of the Handball Fiji Federation Sainimili Saukuru extended gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for supporting the team in competing abroad. She expressed the willingness to strengthen bilateral interaction through sports exchanges between the two sides.
