On 30 October 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Chen Haiping visited China Cultural Centre in Fiji and USP Confucius Institute, where he held discussions with the directors of both institutions and relevant staff members.

Ambassador Chen fully acknowledged their tireless efforts, rooted in the South Pacific region, to promote Chinese culture, advance Chinese language education, strengthen people-to-people exchanges, and consolidate the ties of China-Fiji friendship. He pointed out that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee had been successfully convened in Beijing, emphasizing that both institutions should study diligently and fully implement the spirit of the Plenary Session, continue to serve as bridges and links, organize more diverse cultural and educational activities, and make even greater contributions to China-Fiji friendship and practical cooperation.
