On June 21st, the opening ceremony of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Children’s Tutorial Program was held at St. Agnes Primary School. More than 200 people attended the event including Major General Kalouniwai, Commander RFMF, and senior officers, family representatives, teachers and students of the school. H.E. Ambassador Zhou Jian was invited to attend as the Chief Guest. 

Ambassador Zhou donated FJD20,000 to the RFMF Wives and Mothers Club on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji. In his speech, Ambassador Zhou said that the donation will help Fijian students enlighten their love for learning, fuel their dreams, and encourage them to study hard, stay curious, and never stop exploring, so as to hold the China-Fiji friendship in their hearts and become future ambassadors to bring the two nations even closer.

The RFMF expressed sincere gratitude to China’s long-term support for its development, and said that the donation made the military families feel the warmth of China, which has been another example of the deepening friendship between Fiji and China. The RFMF looks forward to strengthening military cooperation with China and promoting Fiji-China relations to new heights.
